Six people have been charged in connection with an overnight incident involving alleged underage drinking at a Lauderdale County residence.
Deputies responded after receiving a call from a citizen.
Four people under 18 were charged with underage consumption, another with DUI, and one for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
An ordinance passed by the Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors more than a year ago, authorizes law enforcement to charge people under-21 for illegal consumption of alcohol.
