District 4 supervisor Joe Norwood has been elected to a second term as president. Meanwhile, District 3 supervisor Craig Hitt was elected Vice-President.
During the upcoming year, Norwood says economic development will once again top the board's agenda.
"We will work with the East Mississippi Business Development Corporation to make sure that we develop that industrial park out there. We will support the city and the state in making sure that the Arts and Entertainment Center is brought to the Bonita Lakes area. We will also continue to demolish dilapidated houses in the community."
The board elects new officers yearly.
