Clarke County deputies are investigating the death of a Meridian teenager whose body was found in a car off U.S. Highway 11 near the Lauderdale County line.
According to coroner Butch Wright, Cedric Chambliss, 17, was shot in the head.
A sheriff's deputy discovered the body Monday when he responded to what he thought was an automobile accident.
The coroner said the body could have been in the car for two or three days.
