Court officials say 44-year-old Michael Landrum's trial could wrap up as early as Saturday.
Thursday marked day four of the trial. Landrum, who's a former University of Alabama quarterback, is accused of hiring a hit man two years ago to kill his three-year-old daughter Mikayla and her 52-year-old grandmother, Ida Little of Linden.
Twenty-four-year-old Jeffrey Napier of Lisman has already pleaded guilty to pulling the trigger. If found guilty Landrum could face the death penalty.
