Testimony is set to begin Tuesday in Monroeville, Ala., for the trial of 29-year-old Timothy Jason Jones.
He has pleaded not guilty by reason of mental defect in the stabbing deaths of his parents.
Last January Dr. Tiim Jones and his wife Nancy were found murdered in their Monroeville home. Prosecutors say they plan to seek the death penalty.
