EMBDC members Tuesday heard a promise of good things to come from entertainer Paul Ott. He is the chairman of the Southern Arts and Entertainment Center. Ott was referring to if and when that center is built at Bonita Lakes.

"You can't buy the kind of time that we're going to get when you come to Meridian, Mississippi," said Ott. "And I'm looking to the future and I hope the not too distant future where you induct into a Hall of Fame Oprah Winfrey, Faith Hill, Morgan Freeman and it's a black tie affair in a beautiful complex like this."

Ott said a large number of Mississippi-born actors, singers and authors have already given their names in support of the project.
