Former Meridian Police K-9 officer Don Morgan has appealed his firing from the department.
Morgan lost his job after he was arrested for drug possession at his home in Clarke County recently.
Morgan wants action on his position delayed until criminal charges have been resolved.
The Clarke County Sheriff's Department charged Morgan with possession of cocaine and crystal meth.
