East Mississippi Community College sophomore Anna Marie Hayley was recently named to the first USA Today All-Academic Team by Phi Theta Kappa, the honor society for two-year colleges.
Hayley got that honor while at the organization's Boston meeting earlier this month. She says she's not sure she's worthy.
"There were so many people who've done so many things. A lot of them were from other countries. I heard lots of people say, myself included, I don't even know what I'm doing here," said Hayley. "There are so many people who've done so many things."
Hayley has done a few things herself. She's the editor of the yearbook, president of Phi Theta Kappa at EMSS, and she started a reading program for children in Kemper County schools.
