Pedestrian Struck, Killed

A Texas woman was killed in an accident Monday morning around 5:15 a.m. in front of Scott's Truck Stop in Russell.

The victim was identified as Kyla Kim Albert, 43, of Plano, Texas. She was here with her husband, an over-the-road truck driver.

Investigators say Albert was walking across Russell-Mt. Gilead Road when she was struck by a vehicle. The accident remains under investigation.
