Kemper County authorities have recovered the second and final inmate that escaped from the Kemper-Neshoba Regional Jail late last month.

According to Kemper County Sheriff James Moore, Vilanta Brewer was staying with a female in Noxubee County between Brooksville and Crawford. Acting on tips, authorities Saturday night arrested Brewer at that residence. He was serving time for armed robbery.

"Escapes happen but if you escape from The Kemper County Jail we are going remain vigilant. We are going to work hard and ensure that you don't sleep sound because when you do we are going to tap you on the shoulder," said Sheriff James Moore.
Just two days after escaping, 20-year-old Michael Groves was arrested in Philadelphia. He was serving time for kidnapping and assault charges.
