Postal officials are looking further into the placement of some mailboxes just outside Cuba, Ala.

Residents have complained the location of the boxes is inconvenient to their residences, and even dangerous, on a busy highway.

Officials say they are planning to send a team to Cuba to re-examine a request to move mail boxes closer to homes on Jarman Road. They said it might be several weeks before the team can conduct an on-site survey.

The post office said it put the mail boxes about a mile and a half from the residences in the first place, because of the other road's condition.
