Boy Dies in Hunting Mishap

An eight-year-old Bogue Chitto boy was killed in an apparent hunting accident.

Lincoln County Sheriff Lynn Boyte said Dylan Williams was pushing his bicycle through the woods when he was hit with a buckshot from a 10-gauge shotgun.

Boyte said the boy's cousin, Jonathan Williams, 19, had fired the gun after mistaking Dylan for a deer.

No charges have been filed.
