Three homes along Highway 17 in York, Ala., were riddled with gunfire in an apparent drive-by shooting early Tuesday morning. The shooting occurred at around 3:30 a.m.
All three homes were occupied at the time of the shooting, but no one was injured. Two suspects were apprehended by York Police shortly after the incident.
"The officer heard the shooting and after about a minute later the guys drove up on the officer," said Brian Harris of the York Police Department. "The officer was able to apprehend them."
Craig Ellington, 21, and Darryl Bias, 25, both of Livingston, are being held in police custody. Authorities say no information about charges or the weapon or weapons used in the shooting could be released at this time.
