The Small Business Administration will open a disaster relief office in Newton on Monday, Dec. 30. It will be available to help homeowners and business people apply for disaster aid.
The SBA will make low-interest loans available to the victims of the Dec. 19 storms and tornadoes. Victims in Newton, Clarke, Jasper, Kemper, Lauderdale, Leake, Neshoba, Scott and Smith Counties may apply.
The deadline for physical damage applications is Feb. 24, 2003. The deadline for economic injury claims is Sept. 24, 2003.
