The WTOK/Wesley House Toython continues through Saturday at Super Wal-Mart in Meridian. You are asked to bring a new unwrapped toy for a child in need. A truck will be at Wal-Mart till 9 p.m. Saturday.
If you're into drama, you're in luck. Through Wednesday, Meridian Little Theatre will present the play, "A Christmas Carol."
Shows begin nightly at 8 p.m., except for Sunday when there's a matinee showing at 2 p.m. There will be no show Monday. Tickets are $18 for adults and $16 for students.
The 18th Annual "Singing Christmas Tree" at Highland Baptist Church will continue this weekend. The theme this year is "A Midnight Clear." Tickets are free and performances will take place throughout the weekend at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the church.
The 31st annual "Christmas on the River" celebration will wrap up this weekend in Demopolis, Alabama. In all, this year organizers say they expect at least 35,000 patrons will attend the event.
The annual Nautical Parade and Fireworks Display will take place at 6:30 p.m. followed by a dance featuring jazz and soul artists, "Elmo and the Shades." All events are open to the general public.
