Tribal casinos around the nation earned $19.4 billion in gross revenues in 2004. That's according to the federal agency that regulates Indian gambling.
The National Indian Gaming Commission in Washington, D.C., reported revenues at 367 tribal casinos and gambling outlets rose about 15 percent from $16.8 billion in 2003.
Tribal gambling revenues in a region including Louisiana, Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina and New York totaled $4.8 billion, up 11.5 percent.
