A mishap repairing a well in the Kemper Springs community interrupted water service to 44 households this week.

It happened Tuesday as a crew worked on the well that serves the area.

A spokesperson for Porterville Water Association said crews have been working round-the-clock since then to restore service.

A boil water advisory will be in effect after water is back on, until tests confirm there are no contaminants in the lines.
