Police have charged two more people with helping a teenager evade authorities after the teen allegedly killed a rookie police officer over the weekend.
Christopher Bridges, 19, is charged in the Saturday night slaying of Crystal Springs police officer Timothy Webster. Authorities say Bridges shot Webster after a brief struggle that followed a routine traffic stop.
Police launched a massive manhunt that ended when officers found Bridges on Monday hiding in a vacant mobile home in rural Hazlehurst.
Authorities Wednesday charged Christopher Bridges' brother, Anthony Bridges, and their cousin, Matthew Nelson with accessory after the fact to murder.
Matthew Nelson is the husband of Doretha Nelson, who along with Christopher and Anthony Bridges' mother, Bobbie Bridges, also is charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
