The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, Carthage Police Department, and the Leake County Sheriff's Office made 22 drug-related arrests Friday morning, primarily in Carthage and Lena.
MBN Commander Stanley Wash says the investigation started eight months ago.
"I think it was a significant hit on the county to remove that many drug dealers off of the street at one time," said Wash. "The roundup was real successful."
Wash said it's likely that at least two other people will be charged in the drug sting.
