Additional charges have been filed against a man who allegedly fled police after he was stopped Saturday night in Pachuta.
Christopher Porter,24, of Pachutam was arrested after a chase and standoff in Clarke and jasper Counties.
Porter's initial appearance is scheduled for Tuesday in Quitman.
"There'll be two counts of aggravated assault on police officers, convicted felon in possession of firearms and numerous traffic violations," said Clarke County Sheriff Todd Kemp. "We do believe the individual is prior convicted. That will play heavy in the sentencing role if he is found guilty on these charges."
Pachuta Police Officer Melton Davis is recovering from a wound to the hand.
Porter's case will be presented the Clarke County grand jury in August.
