The two escapees from the East Mississippi Correctional Facility at Lost Gap and an alleged accomplice were brought back to Lauderdale County Wednesday.
"All three waived extradition," said Lauderdale County Sheriff Billy Sollie. "We sent a team of deputies over there to escort them back to the state of Mississippi. We sent enough folks to make sure that we didn't have any problems. We want to thank the officers over in Alabama for their assistance in apprehending these individuals. Again, we're very glad that no one was harmed."
State inmates Christopher Roy and Gregory Malone face charges of escape and were transferred back to state custody. They will be housed at Parchman Penitentiary.
Prison employee Tomeka Brown is accused of aiding the escape. Her charge will be prosecuted in Lauderdale County.
