The Lauderdale County Human Relations Commission is helping in the cleaning process after Hurricane Katrina.
After learning from the American Red Cross chapter that cleaning supplies were among the most urgent needs of those in the storm-ravaged areas, the commission gathered essentials to meet that need.
"Whether it's Comet to clean out a sink or a bathtub, or whether it's just actually dishwashing liquid, but just some type of supplies to get in and make your home safer and sanitized and a better place to live," said Dr. Hargie Crenshaw, chairperson of the Lauderdale County Human Relations Commission.
Crenshaw says the cleaning supplies will be taken to the Red Cross for distribution.
