Meridian police are looking for a suspect in a daytime theft at a Bonita Lakes Mall department store.

Surveillance video showed a man wearing a long gray sweatshirt and plaid pants, who officials say has been identified by a store clerk at Belk.

Officials say the suspect broke a glass counter and stole three expensive handbags from Belk around 8 p.m. Apr. 17.

The black male is in his forties, thin and stands about 5'8" to 5'10".
