A Flora woman faces up to 10 years in prison after hiding her HIV positive status from her husband of more than four years. Shannon Howell discovered his wife's secret in August and reported Shala Singleton Howell to authorities. She discovered she had the virus that causes AIDS in 1997 -- five years before she was married. Tests showed that Shannon Howell and the 4-year-old son he shares with his wife tested negative for HIV.
