Antique Alley wrapped up Sunday along Highway 80. With rising gas prices, many locals said they were looking for bargains while others were looking for treasures.
Every year, this weekend, Antique Alley is in full swing. The 500 plus mile yard sale begins in Meridian and runs to Bristol, Virginia with continues yard sales, antique shops, and rummage sales. The event brings out antique dealers and others selling what some would consider junk and others say are hidden treasures. So what draws people to this Antique Alley?
"Just the different variety of things you can find out here. You can find some odd and unique things," said Linda Lee.
Enterprise resident Kathy Moules says she likes the trinkets.
"You got furniture polish, lotion, oil, uh...grease," said Moules.
Dealers say the rising gas prices haven't kept the crowds away. They say people have come from all over. But since most are feeling pain at the pump, some say that is even more of a reason to hunt for bargains.
