A two-vehicle wreck claimed a life Monday morning in Newton County.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol reports the vehicles crashed head-on on Highway 504 shortly before 6:30 a.m.
Jerry D. Lewis, 48, of Pachuta, who worked at La-Z-Boy in Newton was pronounced dead at Newton Regional Hospital.
The other driver was identified as Willie Hopson, 59, of Stonewall.
His condition was not immediately available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the MHP.
