Chamber Bestows Honors

The new president of the Quitman Chamber of Commerce is Fred Blackledge. Hay Rolison passed the gavel to him Monday night at the organization's annual meeting.

Annette Hutto was named Citizen of the Year for 2002.

The Business of the Year is the Quitman Garden Center, a family business now run by Clay Berry.

The Law Enforcement Officer of the Year is Lonnie Campbell of the Clarke County Sheriff's Department.

And Joey McLeod was named Volunteer Firefighter of the Year.
