Water Still Rising, Damage Tops $1.5 Billion
As the rising Mississippi River flooded thousands of acres of Iowa farmland on Tuesday, preliminary estimates put the damage at more than $1.5 billion, a figure that is expected to rise as the high water moves downstream.
