The father of Natalee Holloway is urging Mississippi to join a travel boycott of Aruba.

Dave Holloway of Meridian, Miss., says he's called the governor's office to urge Gov. Haley Barbour to join the governors of Alabama and Arkansas in the boycott.

The effort is to protest the way Aruban officials have handled the disappearance of Holloway, an Alabama teenager and Mississippi native who went missing in May.

A spokesman for Barbour says the governor hasn't had time to consider the boycott, as he deals with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, but will look into the issue.
