On Saturday, a Kansas City southern train derailed in Meridian near the Georgia Pacific Plant, and just behind the area where the Wal-Mart Supercenter and mall are.
The trains that derailed were carrying chemical tanks and about 10 percent of the residue was still in them.
Fortunately there were no leaks, but Homeland Security officials considered evacuating that entire area.
Homeland Security Chief Bunky Partridge said an actual derailment where chemicals do leak is probably just a matter of time.
Crews spent the last couple of days working on the tracks. Trains started running late Sunday night.
