Two male students were arrested Wednesday morning at Northwest Junior High School in Meridian for alleged possession of marijuana.
Dr. Sam Thompson, head of security for the Meridian School System, said a tip led authorities to check out the students. Pot was found on their persons.
Thompson said both students are suspended and will be recommended for expulsion, which is standard policy.
If the Meridian School Board supports the expulsion, the pair would be sent to the Bonita Alternative School.
