The last ten members of the 238th Air Support Operations Squadron arrived home Sunday after a 24-month deployment.
The 238th provided close air support for the 155th Brigade Combat Team. Thirty-six airmen were involved in the deployment, operating in 120 day rotations. Lt. Col. Steve gist says they're all thankful to be home, but they would answer if duty called again.
"We had a good bunch of guys, we all work good together. And, ah, we'll have to wait a while before we go back, but we enjoyed it, and we'll do it again if we need to," said Lt. Col. Steve Gist.
Maj. Stan Williams is a member of the 238th. He was one of more than 600 airmen to be recognized during an awards ceremony Sunday morning.
