An arrest has been made following a high-speed chase in West Alabama. Nineteen-year-old Jerry Jackson is charged in the case.
Linden police say the chase began around one o'clock Wednesday morning when Jackson was spotted joy riding in a stolen vehicle. They say after about five miles he abandoned the vehicle and ran into a wooded area.
Two hours later, authorities discovered Jackson. During the chase police say he exceeded 90 miles per hour.
Jackson is now being held in the Marengo County Jail. Bond is expected to be set later this week.
