Here are damage reports from Friday afternoon's storms.


  • At 2:29 pm, 2 trees were blown down by strong thunderstorm winds in Utica along Tom Collins road in Hinds County.
  • At 3:15 pm, numerous trees and limbs were blown down by strong thunderstorm winds along Highway 80 3 miles west of Bolton in Hinds County.
  • At 4:40 pm, two trees were blown down by strong thunderstorm winds across High 18 1mile northwest of Puckett in Rankin County.
  • At 5:30 pm, power lines were blown down by strong thunderstorm winds on Old Highway 35 North 2 miles north of Columbia in Marion County.
  • At 5:55 pm, a tree and power lines were blown down by strong winds associated with a thunderstorm outflow boundary in West Hattiesburg in Lamar County.
  • At 5:55 pm, two trees were blown down across the highway by strong thunderstorm winds 5 miles southwest of Purvis in Lamar County.
  • At 6:20 pm, two trees were blown down by strong thunderstorm winds on Howard Road 6 miles west of Lexington in Holmes County.
  • At 6:30 pm, three trees were and a power line were blown down by strong thunderstorm winds 3 miles east of Chunky in Lauderdale County. The power line sparked a small brush fire on Point Wanita Lake Road.
