In response to Hurricane Katrina, a team of young adults representing AmeriCorps will be in east Mississippi over the next few months.
The volunteers are here in conjunction with Rebuild East Mississippi. They will be giving their time and talents at various organizations.
"Any number of things; you name it, we can do it, and we probably actually will while we are down here," said William Pierce, team leader for AmeriCorps.
Due to the rain Monday, the team had to work indoors. Members filed papers, did a little computer work and even did some painting at multi-county community service agency.
