All ten recent church fires in Alabama, four last Tuesday in West Alabama, five a week and a half ago in Bibb County, and one over the weekend in Lamar County, have now officially been declared arsons.
The lead investigative agency, ATF, now has 100 agents working on the case statewide.
Investigators are now encouraging the arsonists to contact them and let them know what kind of message, if any, they are trying to send. They're including advertisements in local papers.
Investigators say they believe the suspects are two white men in their twenties or thirties who are probably "bosom buddies."
