East Mississippi is on the verge of an economic boom.
That's according to State Rep. Eric Robinson. He believes within the next two to three years this area will make have tremendous economic growth.
He says that luring Kia to East Mississippi would be a big help, but the future of the area may not have anything to do with the auto maker.
"It could come, maybe not. It could go to Texas, Tennessee, we don't know," said Robinson. "We need to actually quit worrying so much about Kia, I think. If it comes, fine; if it doesn't, we gotta move on. We can't wait for those folks."
Robinson says that there are other projects in the works if Kia does not locate this area.
