It's now less than one month until tax day, and that's why former President Bill Clinton is visiting Gulfport Sunday.
He's promoting the Clinton Foundation's Earned Income Tax Credit Awareness Program. The Foundation supports two full-time caseworkers to provide services about Earned Income Tax Credits. The Credits are refunds of payroll and income taxes to workers who earn less than $35,000 a year.
The Multi-County Community Service Agency in Meridian is also trying to bring awareness to Earned Income Tax Credits. It's estimated that $500,000 in credits could be waiting for local tax payers.
