Former Meridian police officer Don Morgan faces an additional criminal charge.
Police Chief Benny Dubose told NewsCenter 11 a felony charge of possession of over 100 units of phenylbarbitol is being added to the case against Morgan.
Morgan was arrested in May in Clarke County, where he's facing two counts of possession of illegal drugs.
Morgan, who has appealed his firing, led one of the city's K-9 units.
