Georgia Pacific Making Cuts Save Email Print

Georgia Pacific is trimming its workforce by 12 percent and the reductions will affect all its plants, including the one in Pennington, Ala.

A company spokesman said the cutbacks are necessary to protect the company's viability in the future.

Georgia Pacific has fourteen plants nationwide. It employs 1,225 people in west Alabama, which has an $80 million annual payroll.
