County engineer, Neal Carson, told Lauderdale County supervisors that patrons attending concerts at the Lauderdale County Agricenter are parking on the highway, instead of in the facility's parking lot.
Board President, Craig Hitt, said the board is worried.
"A lot of parking is still available inside, but I think it's exactly as Mr. Carson said, they know they're going to get caught up with it in there so they just, even earlier, start parking on the highway," said Hitt. And, I think, too, once someone sees a car on the side of the highway they think there's no parking left. This is the only place to park. It is a problem."
The board will study the possibility of buying additional property there to create both an entrance and an exit.
