Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich will speak in Hattiesburg on Jan. 22 at a fundraiser for First Priority, a campus-based evangelism ministry for middle and high school students.

The speech is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Thad Cochran Center at the University of Southern Mississippi. Tickets cost $400 to $3,000. Seating will be limited to about 400 people.

The First Priority's ministry serves about 4,000 students at 70 schools in Forrest, Lamar, Jones, Perry, Marion, Covington, Simpson and Jeff Davis counties.
