The Newton County Sheriff's Department has charged a man and a woman in connection to a series of church burglaries.
The arrests of Wesley Gilbert of Alabama and Tina Roberts of Florida came Sunday night.
Newton County Sheriff, Jackie Knight, said the couple is suspected of other thefts in Neshoba, Lauderdale and Smith Counties, as well as in Tennessee.
"There was a red vehicle spotted at one of the church burglaries in Lauderdale County. I saw a vehicle fitting that description coming out of Hickory Furniture store last night," said Sheriff Knight. "I pulled in to check on it. And the Lord blessed us. That was the one doing the church burglaries. He had several speakers, amps in his vehicle at the time."
Knight said any other churches who may have been victims are urged to call the Newton County Sheriff's Office at 635-4401.
