The two were arrested around midnight Sunday. They were spotted sitting in a car in the backyard of a residence in Livingston.
When police responded, the teens sped off in the car at more than 90 miles an hour. They eventually crashed the vehicle at the intersection of Highway 28 and Highway 17, and then fired shots at police. No one was hurt.
The arrested have been identified as 18-year-old Jonathan Bays and a 15-year-old female. Both are from Tucson, Arizona and were apparently traveling in the area.
Both now face burglary charges.
