One man is in law enforcement custody in connection with an attempted bank robbery Friday afternoon in Clarke County. Two
other suspects are still being sought in the incident that happened
at the Stonewall branch of BankPlus.
The suspects' attempt to rob the bank was foiled when they were
unable to access the tellers, because of bulletproof glass. However,
authorities say money was taken from a customer inside the bank.
Kedgrin Kennard Brown of Meridian was apprehended Friday night
by Clarke County Sheriff Todd Kemp. He arrested Brown in Stonewall.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol and the FBI are conducting the investigation, along with the Clarke County Sheriff's Department.
If you have information about the holdup, call the Clarke County Sheriff's Department at (601) 776-5252.
