Lieutenant Don Gammage of the Olive Branch Police Department says eight suspects have been arrested in connection with the probe.
Derrick Rucker, who is 24-year-old, was taken into custody by Memphis police Thursday. Verna Kay Miller of Byhalia and 40-year-old Kellye Schenzel, of Olive Branch, have also been arrested.
Gammage says Rucker is awaiting extradition to Mississippi. Police believe he is one of the key players and may be the leader of the ring that authorities say has targeted Memphis and north Mississippi.
Gammage said stolen items were recovered in the latest arrests.
Miller has been charged with receiving stolen property and accessory after the fact.
Schenzel was also charged with receiving stolen property and was being held on a $50,000 bond Thursday.
At one Olive Branch break-in, the burglars held a gun to the head of a 15-year-old boy who had been asleep.
Detective Josh Zacharias of the DeSoto County Sheriff's Department says the group is suspected of committing at least 12 burglaries in DeSoto County in recent months, beginning in April.
