An E-911 dispatcher in Lauderdale County has been charged with identity theft.
26-year-old Polly Crocker is accused of illegally applying for a credit card in someone else's name, and doing so while at work.
Investigators day the victim had not previously called 911 for assistance.
"The victim started getting credit card statements, as well as contact information from a credit card company, that she had to applied for," said Meridian police captain, James Sharpe. "Basically right now we're just waiting to see if anyone else has had cards credited and the origin comes back to the particular suspect that we arrested."
Sharpe said the theft is believed to have happened earlier this year.
Crocker's bond was initially set at $10,000, but was later reduced to $2500.

Mimi sounds like a _____. I happen to know Polly and she only got probation and she has been going to school. It has also been proved it only happen that one time. It was a huge mistake that she regrets everyday. So now you know how awful you people really are.
She is finally going to get what she deserves. It sure took them long enough.
Are they ever going to prosecute her? Hopefully sooner than later.LOL
