Not every telemarketer has paid attention to Mississippi's new "no call" law.
Central district public service commissioner Neilsen Cochran said several companies are already in the process of being sued by the state.
"We have three formal complaints. The total is in excess of $800,000. We think tomorrow or the next day, we'll file three more formal complaints," said Cochran. "The total aggregate sum will exceed $2 million."
Cochran said the PSC promised it would be aggressive against telemarketers and the lawsuits are part of that promise.
