Vertex Aerospace president and CEO Dan Grafton took to the skies in a T-45 Goshawk Monday afternoon at Naval Air Station Meridian.
Vertex Aerospace, a Madison, Mississippi-based company, was awarded the naval contract to maintain the T-45 aircraft at NAS Kingsville, Texas and NAS Meridian.
After his flight, Grafton said he believes he's much better informed about the aircraft.
"It was loads of fun, but I think even more important than fun, it gave me a new and different perspective on the capabilities of the airplane and the importance of the crew and instructor pilots," said Grafton.
Vertex assumed responsibility for maintenance of the T-45 Goshawks approximately one month ago.
