Gov. Ronnie Musgrove and the Democratic lieutenant governor nominee, Sen. Barbara Blackmon, said Tuesday they have not discussed combining their campaign efforts before the Nov. 4 general election.
In separate interviews, Musgrove and Blackmon said Mississippi candidates traditionally run their own campaigns.
Blackmon said she sees no reason to change that.
Musgrove said voters are more interested in issues such as jobs, education and health care than whether candidates will run as a ticket.
